Having survived the war unscathed, Sim Paris returns home to England and finds that his older brother Charles is so engrossed in making money that he is losing the love of his wife; another brother, who is caring for an invalided relative in expectation of a remembrance in the will, is also losing his wife to the doctor attending the invalid. The male nurse discovers her secret and blackmails the wife. Paris thus returns to this state of affairs; and after visiting the home of a former comrade and noting the happiness that prevails there, he believes that his mission in life is to straighten out the lives of other people. With this purpose, he and his wife go throughout England preaching the doctrine of unselfishness.
