Synopsis

Amit Sharma (Abhay Deol) is living a dull personal and professional life. His girlfriend Radhika (Geetika Tyagi) recently dumped him and he's still not over her. His colleagues including Mihir (Tahir Raj Bhasin) & Anika (Preetika Chawla) constantly mock him for it.Amit lives with his parents Sushil (Jayant Kripalani) and Meenu (Rati Agnihotri). Amit is a MC and conducts events for Mumbai Police via his uncle ACP Dhawan (Darshan Jariwala).On his parent's recommendation he meets a girl named Shishika (Yashika Dhillon) but doesn't get over Radhika.

Samara Patel (Preeti Desai) wants to become a great dancer. She lives with her alcoholic mother Kalpana (Lillete Dubey). Samara and Jonathan (Yudishtir Urs) are together, Jonathan constantly wants to make out while doesn't want any "Love" in between. Samara wants Jonathan to select her as the lead dancer for his group.

During a rehearsal Samara gets close to a guy while Jonathan finds it unable to handle and rejects her name for a mega dance campaign in Goa.Instead of being depressed, Samara decides to take matters into her own hands. Samara was crossing the road when Amit almost ran into her on his bike. As he tried to avoid hitting Samara, Amit crashed his bike and a CD fell out of his bag. The CD had one of Amit's songs that he had composed in college. After Amit leaves, a random passer by picks up the CD.Amit wanted to send the CD to Radhika, as he had written that song for Radhika, to evoke feelings in her. But Mihir & Anika break the hard disk, so Amit cannot burn another CD to give to Radhika.

Samara gets herself enrolled for a dance reality show. She fakes fainting in the hot sun in the audition line to cut the queue (which was 7-8 hours and gets into the main hall in 30 minutes). She performs her audition and is selected. Samara moves into the event hotel for the competition for 20 weeks.

Amit gets to know Radhika left him for a show producer Ranjan (Diwakar Pundir) who in turn is the producer of the Dance Reality show Samara is participating.Now, Amit had done hacking projects with the Mumbai Police crime branch previously, where he rigged the voting system in such a way that the winners ended up as losers.

To belittle Ranjan and to win back Radhika, Amit hacks the list of Dance Reality Show's winners and rigs the audience voting system.As Amit, hacks and changes the voting algorithm, those who are expected to win, gets eliminated. The show loses its charm and Ranjan faces abuses from the audience. Samara had partnered with Bunty (Netarpal Singh Heera) for the couple's round.Due to Amit's childish behavior Samara who was performing outstandingly gets eliminated. Due to Amit's clandestine actions, Ranjan is fired from his job. Samara is dejected and is supported by her best friend Shaila (Maya Sarao).

Amit again visits Radhika and proposes her. She calls him boring and useless. Amit is dejected and Meenu pushes him to get married to Shishika.Samara meets her father Ramesh (Anish Trivedi) who left her mother due to her alcoholism. Her father asks Samara to leave her Mom and move back with him. Samara and her mother share a heated argument regarding the same. Kalpana is adamant that Ramesh does not care for Samara and that she is only attracted to his money. Samara lashes out that Kalpana is drunk all the time. Samara says that she is stuck in India due to Kalpana, else could be pursuing her dancing career in London.Samara finds that her father doesn't loves her when he during a party doesn't acknowledge her as his daughter and calls her his friend's daughter.

Amit finds Shishika irritating. At a party in a bathroom, Amit gives Samara toilet paper when she accidentally sneaks into Men's bathroom. But they both doesn't meet each other.

Amit was behind on a crucial project at work and was chewed out by his boss. Amit spends many days and nights on the code, but it keeps throwing up errors. In frustration, Amit destroys his computer and leave the office.During a family meeting with Shishika's parents, Amit gets his guitar and sings in front of them wearing a vest and short, thus embarrassing in a discontented mood.

Samara finds out that one of the contestants on the dance show broke his leg, and the show is looking for a wild card entry.With the help of Bunty, Samara choreographs a dance album. It gets instant views and liking. Unknowingly it's on the song made by Amit. The random passerby who picked Amit's CD from the street was Bunty. Samara and Bunty give credits to Amit.

Radhika comes back after watching the video, to reunite back with Amit, but he refuses to accept her. He promises her that he will sing the song for her dance show, which will be played after the contestant wins the show. Radhika did not even remember that Amit sang the song for her back in college.

As a wild-card entry Samara gets back into the dance show she previously got eliminated. Radhika asks her producers not to play Amit's song after the winner is announced, and in turn Samara takes the song for her final dance. Jonathan comes back to Samara to rekindle. After a make out session when Jonathan asks her to come back to Amsterdam she refuses and asks Jonathan to leave.Samara rekindles her relationship with her mom and tells her father that she will stay with her mother and will not come with him.

Everyone watches, including Amit the breathtaking performance of Samara. At the time of results, Samara sneaks out with her mother. The show declares someone else as winner, because Samara just vanished without telling anyone. Everyone gets astonished as Samara hasn't won the show.

Lastly, Samara through an accident in a pub finally meets Amit, while he praises her for her dance during the show and she for his song.Samara's mom, Amit, his friends all finally together meet each other.
