A coming of age story following the complicated and delicate relationships of love, envy and tensions of three South African families from different walks of life, in their quest for money and successes through entrepreneurial means, in the height of South Africa's transformation period in the early 90's. Season one introduces the main characters as children in 1980 and 1985, establishing their parents' influence on their lives during their early years. Later as teenagers and young adults, major trends in their behaviour patterns begin to emerge that will form the foundation of who they are and echo throughout most of their lives.—Anonymous
