This series is one big communist propaganda. In some cases and moments, series is pointing out about some problems, which people got in early 80s. This series is "the best of worst" in Czechoslovakia history.If you want just loose some time, watch it. There are many better series than this "Okres na severu".The main actor was Jaroslav Moucka - he made good stuff.Jirina Svorcová - comunist actor, which hold up with communist party even 20 years after velvet revolutionJosef Bláha - very good czech actor - his role driver also played some others very good czech actors - Jirí Stepnicka, Petr Hanicinec, Josef Bek, Jirí Zahajský etc...Also music are very poor in this series.
