To make ends meet and to support his ailing mother, the hard-working senior medical student, Fanis, is working as a long-distance truck driver with Fillipos, his best friend. On the way to Athens, the duo has a chance encounter with the kind hitchhiker, Anna, and they give her a lift to the capital. Before long, Fanis and Anna fall in love; however, one day, she decides to return to her village without saying a word. As a result, Fanis embarks on a journey to track down the love of his life, only to discover that Anna is about to get married to the community's unscrupulous loan shark.
