SPU unit officer Sagar Chauhan is assigned with the task of looking over Meenal Patel the mentally imbalance wife of multi-millionaire businessman Pratap Rai. Diligent and hard-working Officer Sagar Chauhan's (Sunil Shetty) rising career in the secret services gets a set-back when he fails to rescue suicide-prone Meenal Patel (Raveena Tandon), the wife of wealthy and well-known Industrialist, Pratap Rai (Danny Denzongpa). To make matters worse Sagar had fallen in love with Meenal. A devastated Sagar is asked to proceed on sick leave, and goes out of the city. Once out of the city, he meets with the look-alike of Meenal, Namita Sharma (also Raveena Tandon), and old feelings re-surface.
