Comic book artist Giovanna is attacked by the press when a real murderer copies the crimes of her fictional character Dr. Dark. And she gets phone calls from a stranger who claims to be the killer.

Young women are being murdered by a masked killer who copies the look and killing style of a comic book character called Doctor Dark. The press turn on the comic publishers, accusing them of inciting the attacks, and the young artist (Giovanna), who draws the illustrations, starts to receive mysterious phone calls from a man claiming to be the murderer.
