-Georges, a man in his thirties, leaves his home on the North Shore of Quebec to get a fresh start in Montreal (Canada). Along the way, on an icy road, he meets Christian, a trucker in his twenties and the two become friends. Christian finds Georges' plan appealing and decides to accompany him to the big city. Once in Montreal, they take on odd jobs to make ends meet and participate in various social events. They meet a young woman named Mouffe who is on the verge of suicide because her husband left her. The trio discover they all have something in common: they want to pursue a career in music. While Christian and Mouffe desire fame and fortune and everything superficial that comes along with it, Georges is more interested in creating art and expressing himself.
