The best subject matter is often only just a few steps away. Director Michael Schindegger has been living with his father and brothers in an apartment building in the second district of Vienna, Leopoldstadt, at house 'No. 7', for thirty years. However, he hardly knows any of his neighbors. He decides to change all that just before marrying his fiancée and moving out. Camera in hand he rings all of their doorbells and introduces himself to the building's multi-lingual, primarily Jewish residents.—Michael Schindegger
