A Dominican journalist must face his new life after the death of his ex-wife and daughter. He travels to the Dominican-Haitian border post-2010 earthquake, trying to find the missing piece of the puzzle that torments him.
2010, an earthquake hits Haiti and almost destroys its capital. Criminal gangs disguised as humanitarian missioners take advantage of the chaos to traffic children. Matías, a Dominican journalist investigates the links between criminals, local politicians and businessmen. On the verge of publishing his findings, his wife and daughter are murdered. Devastated, Matías distances himself from all contact with life. Months later, a new clue awakens his thirst for revenge and he decides to go investigate the criminals directly in Port-au- Prince, Haiti. Now the danger is greater, going into the lion's den could cost his life, but denouncing the criminal network to save many boys and girls from a dark future may be worth the risk.
