Poverty forces a dreamer who is trying to eradicate poverty to do criminal offense.

Jibon, Shanti and Sagor are three college friends struggling with poverty. Jibon dreams of changing society, but poverty hinders his actions. Sagor writes poems and stories regarding the social changes, but also cannot do so because of poverty. One day Sagar gets stabbed while saving a girl. Shanti nurses him to get around and marries him afterwards. Both of them cannot attend their final examination because of his illness, while Jibon is expelled from the examination hall for copying. Badal takes him to the bar that night and stabs his old friend to death. Police arrest Jibon for this crime. Jibon runs away from the Police and goes to visit his mother and younger brother but doesn't find them. He becomes an absconder and searches for them during the night.
