Recently-widowed homemaker Lisa must find a job. Eventually she finds one at the law firm of Enrico Vinci, a fascinating man with a temper. She doesn't tell him about her two kids, fearing it might cost her the job.
Napoli. Lisa Marcelli is a young widow in financial difficulty looking for a job. Through a ruse she gets herself hired as a trainee lawyer in the law office of Enrico Vinci, a charming but bad-tempered man from whom she hides the existence of her two children, Mia and Giuseppe. At the firm she arouses the jealousy of Marta, ambitious and eager to marry Enrico, who does not seem interested. At home, on the other hand, she gets help and advice from Perla, her new neighbor and unlikely babysitter, whom perhaps under normal circumstances she would never have dated.
