Young W. A. Mozart is hosted in a villa near Bologna, where he has to graduate. There he gets in touch with "normal" boys, falls in love for the first time and tries to escape his destiny of young genius.

The 14-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart spends a summer with his father on Count Pallavicini's estate preparing for an important examination at the Bologna Philharmonic Academy. However, in between his studies he falls in with the local boys of his own age, and also feels the first stirrings of love for Antonia, a girl from a nearby villa.
