Shuji Kiritani, a popular but reserved student, finds himself able to be his true self around eccentric classmate Akira Kusano. When a new girl, Nobuko Kotani, joins the class and faces severe bullying, Akira suggests a makeover to transform Nobuko into one of the school's most popular girls, ending the harassment.
