Inept and corrupt police are called to investigate the homicide of the ousted Sarpanch of Ambedkar Nagar, Anandrao Patil, allegedly by Machindra Kamble, a B.A. passed peon-turned-Sarpanch, who is absconding, leaving behind his wife, Nirmala, and a son, Babu, who is not able to speak.
