Synopsis

"Nina Needs to Go!" is an animated series made for Disney Junior in 2014. It stars Nina, a joyful 4 year old girl who loves to have fun and play. However she never listens to her body and always tries to deny her very obvious need to use the bathroom. When she eventually can't stand it anymore, she'll be saved by her Ninja Nana and will be taken to the bathroom. Episodes usually start out with Nina and her family doing something fun that day. Her parents, Kate and Nat, or her brother, Frank, will then ask Nina if she needs to "go" and she will deny it, multiple times. Her need to pee to pee will grow however, usually from seeing, hearing or imagining running water. When she can't hold it anymore and finally admits to needing the loo, it'll be up to her parents or brother to take her there. However, their search will be unsuccessful, and just when all hope seems lost, Nana Sheila will arrive to take Nina to the latrine. It'll then be a race against the clock to get Nina to the throne before it's too late. Nina will successfully make it to the bathroom and will proudly come out saying "That will never happen again, because now I know: Don't wait to go!" (An ironic catchphrase considering how it keeps happening again). After 2 seasons of that and many complaints from parents, the Third season was about Nina learning different lessons that don't have anything to do with her bladder. Lessons like: waiting your turn, having good table manners, going to bed on time, never separating from your parents, listening and how to clean up a mess. While these shorts were received better, they were less memorable and popular. Because of this, Disney/Disney Junior canceled the series in 2017.
