It's midnight and Pepper is chipping away at work at her computer. She's surrounded by empty coffee cans. Disturbed by an annoying little moth fluttering around her lamp, she squashes it dead without a second thought. After realizing she's out of coffee, Pepper grabs her flashlight and heads out into night to the convenience store. Unbeknownst to her, a mysterious moth cryptid is stalking her on her route. Once Pepper returns home, she is confronted by the moth cryptid. She thinks it's going to attack her and tries to ward it off. It's revealed that the moth was only interested in her flashlight. The moth gives her the coffee can she dropped in exchange for the flashlight. Pepper decides she's had enough caffeine and heads to bed. She notices a small moth fluttering around her bedside lamp. Instead of squashing it, she lets it go out her window. Amidst the trees, the moth cryptid is watching her. She'll never kill again.—Elizabeth Adamson
