The purpose of Nick Knacks is to educate those on the history of Nickelodeon, find out it's golden age and to further understand why many feel Nickelodeon is bad in terms of programming when compared to it's past and if it's true or not.

Nick Knacks is a show by show retrospective on the history of Nickelodeon, covering each show that aired on the channel starting in 1977 to today. Poparena will explain the premise of each show in detail as well as it's history in roughly chronological order in how they premiered on Nickelodeon. Along the way, he'll interview some who worked on these shows and do Nick Knacks Sample Platters where he covers an episode of a particular show that aired on Nickelodeon both originals and imported ones. All of this to give context to each show and how they contributed to Nickelodeon and television as a whole.
