About the mysterious death of the Russian Emperor Aleksandr I, and his alleged escape from the public life.

Film is set in December of 1825 during the last days of the Russian Emperor Aleksandr I, who is known for the victory over Napoleon in 1812. Now, away from the capital the Emperor is reminiscing about his life. He and the Empress Elisaveta are confessing their infidelities, and express their love to each other. The Emperor regrets about his failure to introduce reforms and constitution in Russia. He expresses guilt about the murder of his father, Emperor Paul I. He will come to a conclusion about life in Russia, and make a decision for his own life.—Steve Shelokhonov
