Famous, aging artist Thorvald (Erik Clausen) believes that he is both immortal and indispensable. But as his heart stops one day, he is not ready to leave this world. An angel (Bodil Jørgensen) gives him a last chance for his invisible and free soul to walk for three days among his survivors. Thorvald quickly realizes that they do not respond completely as he expects and that his death provides new opportunities for his angry, unconvincing son Vincent (Nicolas Bro), his young wife (Marijana Jankovic), and his bitter ex-wife (Britt Bendixen).
