The story begins in the early 80s of the twentieth century, on the eve of the Olympics in the USSR. Yuri Gradov, while still an investigator of the Astrakhan city prosecutor's office, uncovers a major fraud on the illegal production and sale of black caviar. After that, Gradov's case is transferred to the USSR Prosecutor General's Office in Moscow.
