This fictional film takes a critical look at the pledge at the state schools of Turkey. The pledge is required practice. Three children - a boy who belongs to a Bulgarian minority in Edirne, a Roma boy, and a Turkish girl who is subject to domestic violence. They all go to school every morning and recite the pledge. The film also shows three different cultures existing in the city of Edirne which lies at the northwestern edge of Turkey near the Greek and Bulgarian borders.—Anonymous
