Spool were commissioned to produce 28 short films to bring the English Civil War to life. The films are part of an interactive trail, the first of its kind in the UK forming part of the Civil War visitor experience for the new National Civil War Centre opening in May 2015. Using augmented reality technology, visitors to Newark can download an app to their smartphones and tablets. Then at key sites around the town, they will find unique images to scan which will enable the app to play each story. 6 x 6 min films will also be screened in the bespoke cinema space within the National Civil War Centre.
