REMEMBER ME explores the issue of endangered species on our planet today. Disappeared from the wild, many can be only found in captivity or in monitored breeding programs. They are seen as monsters because they look weird to human eyes. They are searched for as pets because they look so cute. They are hunted because their fur sells well on the market. And some even land on our dining tables. But most of all because of the rapid disappearance of natural habitats and an alarmingly increasing environmental pollution their numbers are declining rapidly. With no protected wildlife areas to inhabit many of them are threatened with extinction. Only thanks to the tireless efforts of engaged activists, zoologists and biologists, zoos and reservations, private and government organizations many of the endangered species have not completely disappeared yet. But if nothing changes, soon all the species that will be recorded in this documentary might perish and be nothing more but a legend from the past. REMEMBER ME combines images of animals living in the wild and those living in captivity, for example in zoos, special reserves or highly monitored breeding facilities. A selection of four representative species will lead us to Asia. What are the specific reasons that they became critically threatened with extinction?—BODA Media Group
