He targets gullible clients in cases involving black magic and the spirit world, and milks them of their money with mumbo jumbo and cheap illusions. In reality, Sam does actually possess a sixth sense and an affinity for the supernatural, but he has long denied this ability because he sees it as a curse rather than a gift.
