Against the background of a swirling cosmos, our host John Newcombe, wearing a suit and tie and holding an unlit cigarette, introduces three vignettes that he promises will be mysterious tales of unexpected horror. An alarm clock set to go off, a penny that will stop time, and a sleepy town toward which evil advances. However, each story proves to be bland and insipid.
