Italy 1997. When 17-year-old Clara and Irene meet they are nothing alike but get on marvelously. They run away together to an island in Sicily to live their summer freely, and to hide from a reality they want to forget.

Italy, 1997. Clara and Irene, both 17, meet at a summer camp organized by the hospital who treats them. Clara is shy while Irene is untamed - they instantly become inseparable friends. Instead of going back to their families, they decide to run away to a faraway island off the coast of Sicily to live their first summer as young women. They live carefree and dream of love, while recording on VHS their moments together and confronting their fear of the future.
