A young man travels to Mexico in search of his brother, who has become involved with a dangerous gang.

At the turn of the century, Denny O'Moore (Mickey Rooney), is en route from his New York City home to Texas to surprise his brother Patrick (Robert Stack) with a visit to his silver mine across the Mexico border. Denny meets Texas Ranger Joe Waldner (Robert Preston), who suspects that Patrick is involved with the notorious Mexican bandit El Tigre. Denny and Waldner are captured by El Tigre's henchmen but escape. Denny appeals to Carmel Alvarado (Wanda Hendrix), Patrick's sweetheart, to try and talk Patrick into leaving El Tigre, and falls in love with her himself. The bandits, headed by the mysterious El Tigre, surround Denny, Waldner, and Carmen in an old hacienda in Mexico.—Les Adams <[email protected]>

The outlaw El Tigre and his gang have been repeatedly crossing the border into Texas, robbing and killing. In Border City, a ranger is asked to break up the gang and he heads to Mexico. On the way, he meets up with a young man from New York who is on his way to San Clemente to see his brother, and the two travel into town together. But the brother is heavily involved with the gang and he is not happy to see either of his visitors.—Snow Leopard
