Synopsis

Guo Yin just got out of jail and is looking for a new hustle. What should be do with himself? Back to business as usual- internet bank fraud? No, after seeing the kind of respect people paid to monks in yellow robes he's going to try something new. So he dresses up as a monk, practices the prayers, the hand movements and the body language via internet- and then hands out onto the street where he is initially recognized as a "Rinpoche" a Tibetan Buddhist Lama. He meets the deeply religious Xinyu who promptly invites him into her home to meditate, a fact that her husband is not very happy about, But the suspicious businessman learns to respect his spiritual "profession" and starts to develop fatherly feelings for the young man." No wonder that Foxconn fires these guys," he comments to business friends after they ask about the secret of his success. In their first meditation together, Guo Yin touches Xinyu hand and for a second it seems as if his fingertips were attempting to appraise the value of the jade bracelet on her wrist. But then the pseudo-Lama begins to get more real every day as he notices that he is a much-needed companion for a lonely woman and a man that hardly had a chance to see his son grow up because he was always at work. Is it possible to play with spirituality and speculate with it as if were a stock? Is the maxim :"We tell them what they want to hear and they're happy: work as a posit business model? The scam started by Guo Yin turns into a practical everyday truth.. Will it help him confront his own greatest regret as well, his betrayal of his brother, who shows up and denounces Guo Yinto Xinyu as being " a con man and a swindler since childhood". This film is a highly original mix of serenity and emotional dynamics and tells a story of spirituality and family loyalty.
