A political boss named Sledge meets a wealthy opponent's daughter, Molly Marley. Sledge determines to win Molly although she is engaged to Bert Glider, a lounge lizard intending to exploit Molly for her money. Unable to convince Molly of Glider's nefarious motives, Sledge kidnaps her on her wedding day and contrives to make it appear that Mr. Marley has lost all of his investments. Glider cancels his marriage plans; Sledge returns Marley's money to him and marries Molly.—AFI
