Mukta Kanse Patil is born and brought up in U.S living with her parents Eknath a Marathi poet and Yashodha.She returns to her village in India for post graduation where she has a huge political family led by her grandfather Aabhasaheb Kanse Patil.While in college Mukta meets a Dalit leader Milind who performs political plays and she joins them and starts to protest against government which does not go well with many of her family members.On the arrival of her American friend Julian things become more complicated but he manages to win heart of Aabhasaheb.When Mukta confesses her love to Milind many of her family members are against this decision as he belongs to lower caste.—[email protected]
