An international student's struggle to find a new place in a new country.
Dildar Singh is an international student who has come to New Zealand to look for a job. On his journey to look for a job, he makes new friends, Miral and Rakesh who end up becoming his flatmates. Rakesh is working with Dildar at the same butchery where he eventually meets Sarah.
Dildar's New Zealand open work permit visa is running out and he needs to find a job. He is eventually given a job at a local sweet shop but things go worse when the sweet shop owner asks for $15,000 in return of New Zealand residence. Disappointed, Dildar turns to his friends. Sarah, then comes up with a plan to sell drugs to make the money. Eventually, they sell them in Jalebis.
Dildar's life takes a sudden turn when the sweet shop owner unexpectedly pulls the application leaving him with no option but to leave the country. During these difficult times, he turns to God for help.
