Jack and Charlie are an unlikely pair on a dangerous path to self destruction in a world of their own design. Both struggling to keep up a bygone lifestyle that revolves around a green felt table with six pockets and sixteen balls.
Charlie is a seasoned hustler who strolls into town looking for some action and fresh meat to fleece. He crosses paths with Jack, an eccentric pool shark and a professional screw-up, who spends most of his days drunk. Sensing an opportunity, Charlie cons Jack into working with him by putting him in debt, leading them on a chaotic tour of pool halls in order to repay Charlie. Trouble follows them from venue to venue, mostly due to Jack's erratic behaviour-his heavy drinking, drug use, and wild lifestyle.
As they spiral deeper into chaos, we learn Jack has a family he can never return to and blames pool for ruining his life. Charlie, too, has a troubled past and isn't the smooth, level-headed charmer he pretends to be. Charlie is confronted by an old hustling partner and payment is overdue. Jack is the most unlikely saviour to help dig Charlie out of the big hole he's made for himself. The biggest twist comes when Jack reveals a shocking secret that threatens to destroy everything Charlie loves about the game of pool.
