Ben is upset by Cindy's mother interfering and wanting to spoil Cindy and Virginia. He feels that she's trying to make it up to Cindy for placing her for adoption.

Mary Ellen marries Jonesy but they don't exactly have a good start. While on their honeymoon, she suffers an accident that leaves her unable to bear children. She then shuts out everyone, even Jonesy. Eventually she decides to go to the one person who can understand what she's going through: her mother, who is recuperating in Arizona.—<[email protected]>
