A retired professor experiences changes after going to visit his son.

Professor Joymohan stays alone in Kolkata. He is a heart patient and when he gets a severe heart attack on his birthday he realizes he needs to spend as much time with his family in Mumbai as possible. He then goes to Mumbai to his son Indra, daughter in law Rita and grand daughter Gargi. While Indra and Gargi are delighted, Rita is not so happy about his arrival. She makes her displeasure more vocal. Joymohan starts going for morning walks to the nearby park in the mornings. During one such morning walk he meets his old student Neelima and her daughter Anjali who wants to do a doctorate in the US.—sameer

Kolkata-based widower and former Professor Joymohan Sen has a near-fatal heart-attack on his birthday. After recuperating he decides to pay a surprise visit to his Mumbai-based son, Inderjeet, and his family - consisting of his film producer wife, Rita, and school-going daughter, Gargi. He is rather dramatically welcomed by the entire family, and during a dinner discussion agrees to give them money to invest in their own house. They go to inspect the lavish bungalow - Rita even allocates a room for him - and all start making plans of moving in soon. Shortly thereafter, Inderjeet invites his father to travel to Goa for a holiday, but is turned down, and the trio depart, leaving the former alone with a maid-servant, Shilpa. When they return home they find Joymohan is now refusing to invest in the bungalow - but nothing will prepare them for the shocking news that he will soon share with them.—rAjOo ([email protected])
