Sharon Moore, a middle aged woman, inherited her church from her deceased parents. Although she doubts herself at times as the pastor she is determined to fulfill the calling. Not only does she face many challenges as a pastor in the inner city, she is also a devoted foster parent to troubled youth. She tries to balance life between church, fostering children and having a daughter in college. Although some of her church and family members can be half baked Christians at times she takes it in stride and keeps moving forward with grace despite many obstacles that come her way.
