In may 2017, Montréal celebrates its 375th birthday. Five hour-long documentaries explore the French and British history of the city, supported by nearly one thousand photographs drawn from major archives as well as private collections. The city's powerful and prominent builders team up with many in minor supporting roles. Together they draw a stunning sketch of the first metropolis of Canada.—Paul Carvalho
