In her bid to be worshipped, Devi Chandi makes the powerful merchant of Ujaninagar, Dhanapati fall in love with her own devotee, Khullona. While Dhanapati does fall in love with her, he doesn't agree to worship Devi Chandi. Chandi then begins her revenge with Dhanapati and what follows is a grand epic journey about a tussle between god and a devotee.
