The Molanders decide to move out of Stockholm to the market town of Alingsås to be able to spend more time together as a family. But Olof, principal of a school for music, is soon busy with conducting the local classic orchestra and Fanny finds herself attracted to a young medical intern at the local health clinic.—Mattias Thuresson
