A Japanese football prodigy rises to the top of the youth football league in Italy.

Hikaru Kikkawa was the son of a diplomat, and spend most of his early life moving from country to country. He settled in Italy at the age of 10, and joined the youth football team San Podesta Junior as a substitute player. Following the death of his parents in a plane crash, Hikaru becomes the legal ward of retired football star Albert Robson. Albert trains him in becoming a better football player, and Hikaru is soon considered a rising star in his chosen sport. Hikaru is chosen as the new captain of the multinational team "Jupiter Wings". Hikaru manages to befriend his former rival Julian Ray (in part because Hikaru is dating Julian's sister), and convinces him to join "Jupiter Wings" as his closest ally.—Dimos I
