Six wildly different people have no clue what's install for them on 'pioneering' burnout therapist Hannah's forest hike to a desolate hotel in Märkischen Schweiz, with some tricks to force them out of their comfort zones in completely different circumstances then those which gave them regular stress. Workaholic restructuring management consultant Johann Meininger was tricked to take the course as his PA convinced his boss to dump him due to expensive seniority, but finds a new challenge when sparks flow between him and equally cocky teacher Silvia Rautenberg, a disorganized single mother of two who has tinnitus. Editing lecturer Alfred is desperate after 500 failed job applications and hamburger jobs. Yuppie designer Rosa is stuck in short-term apprenticeships. Fresh pensioner Herbert wants adventure after 40 years of patient care, but his wife Gudrun fears any risk. Therapist Hannah looses control.—KGF Vissers

This comedy cleverly targets the widespread disease Burnout. Author Markus B. Altmeyer and director Michael Rowitz portray the different characters with a good hand for emotional overtones. They take their characters' problems seriously, but without loosing the humorous aspects. That's how they manage the difficult task of a witty comedy, that is as funny as it is thought-provoking. These six people could not be any more different but the stress of their everyday lives has brought them together. Teacher Silvia (Stefanie Stappenbeck) is a single mother taking care of two children, who doesn't only have money problems but is plagued by tinnitus as well. Restless management consultant Johann (Max von Pufendorf) lives life on the fast lane and considers every break as a waste of time. The reader Alfred (Martin Brambach) on the other hand, has been unemployed for years and is close to loosing his will to live after 500 unsuccessful applications, degrading temporary jobs and frustrating appointments at the job center. Young Rosa (Paula Kalenberg) interns at a fancy advertising agency and goes from one badly paid contract to the next. Regardless of her ambition, she has no real prospects. As opposed to this, the newly fledged retiree Herbert (Walter Kreye) can look back on a fulfilled professional life: he helped the dying get tot he other side in a hospice for 40 years. Therefore, he knows how short life is and has planned to fulfill many dreams and wishes while he still can. His wife Gudrun (Jutta Speidel) however, is a pessimist to the core and considers every day just one step in getting closer to dying. They have all more or less voluntarily found themselves in a remote hotel in the woods of the Märkische Schweiz, a recreational area 30 km east of Berlin, to escape the busy city and regain the balance of mind and soul. Especially Johann and Gudrun are unwilling to confront their problems. The other participants have a hard time leaving their everyday lives behind as well. None of them anticipate the tricks and ruses that experienced therapist Hannah (Birge Schade) has come up with, to get the group out of their shells. The stressed out city folk are to find themselves on exhausting hikes and camping in the forest. Unfortunately, the open-air group therapy doesn't go as smoothly and stress-free as planned. Confronted with this much chaos, even therapist Hannah starts loosing her head.—Wiedemann & Berg Television
