Mission: Mars
In the late 1990's, a private space company made a deal with prisons around for prisoners with life sentences. The prisoners have to go into space in a EcoCapsule to land on Mars. The only problem is no one has ever made it to mars alive. It's basically a suicide mission, with a no return policy.

Ext. Eco capsule pod out in space by Earth
Must keep lights off and low to conserve energy. Has power on until leaving the earth. Earth to Mars travel time: 300 days. EcoCapsule is fusion powered with solar panels. Solar panels help with power via the sun. The weight is about almost 3000 lbs with water. It's crazy it's only 62 miles to space from earth. the Blob releases a mini-rocket - a booster with an engine that can propel a satellite weighing up to 3,000 pounds into orbit. Tries to walk out door but it's space. Thinks he's in space going to Mars for a volunteer mission. the year is 1999 and they told me it could take 7 years to get there. It was a deal that nasa didn't do but a private company.
I don't know. the world of earth is so fucked up. It's 1999 and they say the world is gonna end at midnight on new years. I know I won't be able to see the world end. So essentially they can track me but can't bring me back. It's a slow death but an earned one at that. I wonder if we'll create another earth on mars. Will the human race just become another slave planet on mars?
They told me to sleep as much as I can and don't use to much energy. they launched the pod via fusion. I was amazed. the oxygen is recycled. show floor plan and explain what the eco capsule is...
The biggest problem was weight because once you launch into space everything is weightless. but how could they supply me with enough food and water? Emergency just add water to the food. It was light and easy. I wasn't really expending energy so I could make the food last longer. How do I poop? very carefully. and sometimes the shitter gets full. Release the cracken. As far as floating around like an astronaut... They fixed that with artificial gravity.
Other than that it's a enjoy the ride kind of thing. They told me to keep a daily video journal. Speaking of they. who are they? who is thy? right? now one knows but they all act they do know.
It was a hard pill to shallow. you know to accept the life sentence in prison. I don't like to talk about it much. I do have company with me. well, it's a smart phone and commander. It's guiding the ways to Mars. When I get there if I do. I'm suppose to leave morse code on the planet. I guess that's how they know I've landed and it's possible. I don't really trust that it's just a test mission and theres nothing of value on Mars. There has to be some kind of resource on Mars. I know I shouldn't have done what I did.
Asteroid Field / Belt - over shoots - I think they over shot me. shit. Asteroid field around mars and jupiter.
Twist: Wormhole sends him to alternate universe
I read most of my days in prison. anything I could get my hands on. I was a sponge for knowledge. She didn't deserve what she got, my wife. Well ex-wife. She wanted nothing more than to have a family of kids. Crime and punishment. On earth it's simple you do the crime you do the time.
Can't live on Mars because of temperatures being so cold
Asks computer about inventions of sun deflections
300 reflective balloons mars net
Hook / TwistHe's been in a jail cell the whole time and the guard asks if she's ready to come out of the hole.
But was it all real anyways? Life, Love, all that and a bag of chips.
