When the gothic teenager Megan Gordon moves with her widowed mother Susan Gordon from Los Angeles to a house in Iowa that belonged to the Weatherford Family, she loves the antique mirror that was forgotten in corner of her bedroom by the auctioneer Emelin that is responsible to clear the house. Megan is bullied at school by her mates, but the student Nikki Chandler welcomes her and soon becomes her best friend. She also feels attraction for the handsome Jeff, who is the boyfriend of the cruel Charleen Kane that is running for class president against Nikki. Out of the blue, Megan is possessed by her mirror and the demoniac force affects the people around her in a crime spree.
