A separate crime case is being investigated - but not yet solved - by assistant detective Madsen in the first part of each episode (aired on prime time Monday nights). Viewers are then invited to guess/suggest an ending to the mystery before the second part is broadcast the following Saturday night. Here the plot is cleared up and also discussed between the writers panel and three selected viewers - all hosted by Otto Leisner.
