Iris (Balaban) is a young mother married to rock-steady doctor Geoff (Allen) and busy caring for her dying film critic father (Welsh) - she's trying to save the soon-to-be-torn-down Paradise Cinema in his honor. Tonight, she will host a screening of the 1960 classic drama Breathless at the Paradise, where she'll run into her mercurial ex (Hawco) and his fiancée (Ferreira) and the two ex-lovers will spend the evening reliving the past and plotting a future together.—Bill Robertson
