Andrey Batalov, a child psychotherapist from Moscow, and his wife Vera come to Turkey to celebrate the anniversary of their family life. There they meet a fisherman and owner of a small hotel and his Russian wife, Svetlana. Their 10-year-old son Emil suddenly stopped talking a few years ago, and Svetlana believes that only Dr. Batalov is able to cure the boy. Andrei volunteers to help, but Vera violates these plans, not wanting to share her husband even with his medical duty. A severe storm that hits the town tragically turns the lives of both families upside down. And then Svetlana decides on a desperate act: she tricks Andrei into her hotel and keeps it a secret from everyone.
