In the late 1980's Sage Negadeth had a vision to form a heavy thrash band with a huge stage show. He is so dedicated to metal, he and his cronies form a secret language where metal band names are substituted for actual words. Answering an add in the paper, Sage and his best friend Kurt unite with two Nigerian exchange students and form the band Black Christ. They quickly compose an album's worth of songs for a cassette EP titled "Corpses Litter Heaven." Unfortunately Sage's violent and Satanic lyrics have attracted the attention of an overzealous school counselor named Vicki Rader who wants to see him institutionalized. Although Black Christ's first show is a huge hit, Sage quickly realizes they still have a long way to go to beat the likes of the black metal band Panzergod who have incorporated blood drinking and pyrotechnics into their show. In a perfect world, Sage wants a stage show where a huge demonic hand would lower the band onto the stage for it's opener but knows that only a major label record deal will fulfill that dream. Sadly, the Nigerian exchange students are deported and Sage now finds himself without a band, watching as Panzergod goes on to a record deal and a European tour while he's stuck working at a gas station. The members of Panzergod tell him that he must make a genuine pact with the Devil to gain true success in the metal world. To complicate matters, a mysterious Christian girl Denette seems to be stalking Sage in an attempt to save his soul. At a crossroads, Sage must make a risky decision that will either compromise everything he has ever believed in or at last bring him the metal domination dream he so desperately craves.
