Isolation and poverty are what awaits those who have leprosy, the historic forced sending of sufferers to far away places, far from other communities, families and employment opportunities. Filmed in east Java and Jakarta, Indonesia is one of the top three countries with thousands of new cases of year. The film explores a beggar and teacher who as leprosy sufferers have been discriminated and fired from teaching position. We go to a remote Leprosy community and are told of life in the rehabilitation center and after being coerced to leave and start a new community the daily struggle to survive , on the outskirts of Jakarta is another Leprosy community who are discriminated in their effort to earn a living.—Anonymous
