Summaries

The first episode of the TV series "Ice Planet" is presented in the form of a mash-able edit from all elements readied to film the unmade series. The high action sci-fi story unfolds as originally scripted, but using filmed cast read-throughs special fx (finished and not) animated storyboards, casting sessions, production design images, scenes filmed as tests, directors test POV shots etc. Every few minutes the audience is transported through a space-time wormhole into a large warehouse and temporary movie studio and it's offices as the financial meltdown crushes banks and investors and with them the ever more likely collapse of financing for the series - on which some $10,000, has been spent, the survival of the series is in ever-greater stress, some investors throwing in their life savings, others trying to get out, death threats, collapse of world markets, mob confrontations, desperate lawyers,l emotional conference calls, bulldozers taking aim at $5,000,000 million dollars of sets, producers who can't pay their personal rent anymore, and then there's the stressful stuff. Just as the Rear Admiral Tragers's crew must survive in episode one of the series, so must the producers and the financing on the other side of the worm-hole. Each must survive for the other to live!—Pierre Lafrance
