Ebba Bornkamp, a woman in her early life who is benevolently called the best, is experiencing a disturbingly realistic dream, or more precisely, a nightmare: she gives birth to a bear cub. A few days later, she and her husband Markus travel to meet friends on the Baltic Sea. When Ebba happened upon a small traveling circus while strolling on the beach, the dream caught up with the successful businesswoman - different, but no less unusual. The charming ringmaster Arne persuades Ebba to slip into a lifelike bear costume and dance in the ring. Ebba feels fascinatingly different - as a she-bear. She is attached to her husband, her daughter, the company that she has just founded with Markus.
